Exercise helps.

I find I get to a certain point of messiness in my workspace and I can't create anything anymore until I clean it up. It's like the ideas won't flow properly again until a little order is restored.

winter brain has hit me this week. Were storing up for our creative time so take heart. Haveing a group of craft monkeys can lead to winterbrain and worse. I am subbing in the art department with individuals with DD since Thanksgiving. I retired from DD after 30 years but I keep going back. One day I had a beer at 4 in the afternoon (after work of course). I didn't want to create but it did let me go back the next day. As you know teaching can do that to you. Have a good day tomorrow.

Winterbrain, yep. January is usually my worst month for various reasons. But not so much this year, since it's been 50-60+ degrees in KC. This is my kind of winter and I've had (a bit) more energy than I normally have. Cleaning/purging/sorting/filing is in full swing here. I hope I finish those projects before gardening season arrives. ;-)

Oh man ... my crafty stuff is such a "neglected kingdom" these days! I have all this inspiration around me, and very little oomph to get back to getting messy. what is that?!

Oh Yes, I can relate to 'winterbrain' it's been keeping me hostage the past several days, all attempts to move into some activity, even enjoyable ones like the act of creating feels like I have to move mountains to do it. It will pass tho. I know this sounds nuts but what I really need is a decent snowfall dumping at least a foot of snow or so. This winter has been so NOT winter like, very little snow, not enough to even shovel, temps that fee more like March...I LOVE winter and I am feeling cheated out of the one season that brings me the most joy. Ok done with rant, Winterbrain be gone. Enjoy those simple pleasures of Moss Cottage sweet Mary Ann.

before and after photos??????

something good will come of this....

I suspect that you are still recovering from your airplane adventure around the 1st. That stuff drains me so much it takes awhile to recover. Cleaning is good- I always find stuff that I forgot I had. Give yourself time.

It is summer here in Australia - so I had a summer clean up of my art room over the Christmas break. It seemed to make space for new creativity and I have played more in the last two weeks than probably the whole year. Trust me, the clean up will have your mind ticking with so many new arty ideas that you won't be able to keep up.

Did the cat posse help with the cleaning and clearing?
Hugs - C

The beginning of the thaw! YEAH! xoDonna

Did the cleaning feel good, I look a my little cave and see this and that out of place and want to do the same, but winter brain in summer is just not right, while I sit here liking my wounds (leg in plaster for 2 months now) explaines my winter brain mood. I hope the cleaning felt good and all is better now...see out there in this big world of ours ther is someone just a little wors off...no not after pitty just want to make feel a little better .....and no I don't use my leg to paint and scrapbook and my yoga skills are perfetic ,I just can't manage to cut paper to well having to have 1leg alervated ubove my head...lol. It's all so funny I did try........are you better now ???

Oh my gosh, I felt the same way, and did the same thing this evening!

Winterbrain, funknuss, napping and generally inward moves towards home and comfort..all good, all good. Intelligent animals all hunker down, and you are beyond smart.
Let go and rest. It's all good. Gather those furry beings. Rest. Be well. Rejoice very quietly for all that is good.
xxxooo to you, e.

Winterbrain... love that! Me too... although I like it, thats what winter is for... slowing down and maybe doing a little studio cleaning... winter dreaming time of spring!
