I love going on your adventures with you! We stayed in Los Alamos at the Skyline Motel a few months ago and are going again for Thanksgiving week. Its a bit cheesy but the couple who own it are sweet and I love that sleepy town. We used it as a stepping off point to go on little day trips up there! I love it! They have a little cafe that is only open on the weekends that is a little art gallery...good food too! I love the charm of the little towns up north. Can't wait to hear more about your cabin, that may be our next option! karen...
Letting yourself get off the freeways and explore the road less traveled is one of the true delights of life. I love to allow myself the time to be diverted!! Love this post- great pictures!! thanks!
That pub pug is too darn cute! And I love his owner's overalls, don't see them much in the big city. I always thought overalls and jumpsuits were a pain because you have to practically undress to use the facilities, but I guess the male version has a fly....I don't know do you?
These photos are lovely, as were your other "road trip" photos. There's nothing like a meandering fall road trip! Ventura and Los Alamos are now on my list of places to see. Thanks for sharing your weekend!
oh, i certainly know the benefits of getting distracted and veering off course! that's where the best stuff comes from for sure! lovely, lovely photos. xo
WOW!!! Thank you for such a fun blog to follow.I think when you said that you like to be in the moment and totally immerse yourself to enjoy it (my words not your exact ones)you really got my attention. And now to quiet time and a wee bit of journaling........
After a night of frights this is the most lovely way to retire... Love the spiderweb in front of the pink lantern. I may trade L.B. in for L.A., not the city of angels the city with the pug.

Enchantingly sweet. You always manage to capture that which makes the ordinary just a wee bit extraordinary.

My life has been a series of 'following the butterfly' and it's wonderful to watch you follow yours!

that's been my entire adult life . . . distracted and veering off course. And I wouldn't trade any moment. Being an Aquarian, sponteneity (sp) wins!
