it's officially official. i am 100% finished with my travel journal.
and for your information, finishing has been extremely agreeable. and so is this passage from At Seventy by May Sarton...
"It is a pleasure to be with someone who says that the eighties are her happiest years and who is silent while we drive around because she wants to concentrate on what she is seeing. That is wonderful for me because I am the same kind of being. I want to do one thing at a time and give it my whole attention."
...which i continue to enjoy on these warm autumn nights tucked away up here in my tiny cottage.
good saturday night from los angeles, to wherever in the big wide world you happen to be.

I wish I could touch it and leaf trough it myself. I suppose you wouldn't send it overseas for a while for me to drool over? (Hmmm, no, neither would I). Congratulations on finishing it. And..I can totally relate to the Sarton quote. I love her journals!

Two things: 1) I hope I make it to eighty.
2) I hope I will have a need for a travel journal someday.
Alright, three things: I hope to have a journal such as yours that people will be inspired from and want to hold.

Excited for you. The pages so far have been yummy.I just heard about the earthquake in Turkey. It is such a beautiful country. Because of you taking the time to share your travels with us I've had a window on places I won't have the chance to visit. What I wouldn't give to see your gorgeous journals up close and personal. Toasting you and your completed journal.

Your journal is so wonderful and such a piece of history you have created in your life. I love May's quote and shall post it for daily viewing as I am inclined to live my life just this way at this stage of my journey. Thank you Mary Ann Moss...you are a treasure to me!

Mmm...I wish I could curl up with a cup of tea on your couch and browse through your journal, asking you the occasional question about what I was looking at.

I am loving your beautiful journal, Mary Ann. Congratulations on finishing it! Thank you again (and again) for letting us look through it and be inspired by your work. Just wondering if you printed the "Today" and "Street Scene" ahead of time (both on the top pictures of the Sat. and Thurs. blog entries) or if they are stamped on - I'm loving that font! Enjoy the rest of your weekend!
