Still sewing paper. Making pinwheels. Putting them near the window. Watching how the light filters through the paper.
Thomas Campbell has got my machine whirring, thread flying, boomerangs of ideas overflowing. Zing! Zap! Zang!
Happy mess making Saturday from a windy chilly cloud pile of a day to wherever in the wide world you happen to be. {!}

these and the lanterns are so utterly cool!

M.A.- As my mother used to say, "damit to hell" those lanterns were gob stopping amazing, and then I scroll down to see my weakness... pinwheels.
Dang it girl, you are gonna have work full time if you are gonna spend your vacation time tormenting us with this beauty! Damit to hell.

Fantasamogoric! I am making these to use as a valance on my otherwise boring and plain studio window. You are amazing and so much fun!

Love em Mary Ann. The papers are perfect. I can imagine a boquet of these, tied with a bit of scrappy ribbon. Small ones on pages in a journal, hanging as garland....such sweet when harmony happens between color, paper and a trusty sewing machine.

G-or-or-geous!

These would be beautiful in the garden mounted on heavy gauge wire that could be stuck in the ground. Could they be made waterproof with a clear spray or laminated before being sewn? They'd look like giant pinwheels. Not that they aren't gorgeous on the windows...just another wild idea when I saw them.

Zing! Zap! Zang! I love how your sewn paper into pinwheels have come to life in the sunlight of your window. Super creative Miss Moss. Vacation definitely agrees with you. Happy creating...

These are so fabulous--how are you actually stitching them together? Are they on some kind of a circular base?
